This elective course is designed to support students to develop their knowledge, skills, and understandings to explore and analyse health and wellbeing issues in a rapidly changing world. Students will start to look at what matters to them, who they are and what they stand for. Through class activities and challenges students will be equipped with more skills to be confident young people with a sense of purpose. Students will further be provided with opportunities to promote positive health outcomes for themselves and their community.
Topics students will consider, but are not limited to, include:
- Self-awareness
- Acceptance/Working with others
- The Concepts of Kindness
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Physical, social, emotional, and spiritual challenges as learning experiences
