Welcome to Mitcham Girls High School, where we empower every student to belong, grow and achieve.

As the only all-girls’ school within the Department for Education, we are purposeful about opening doors for every student. Our unzoned school welcomes students from across Adelaide, while our growing international program brings global perspectives into our community.

Research highlights how gender stereotypes can influence students’ confidence, subject choices and aspirations. At Mitcham Girls, we challenge these limiting expectations by asking: what might your child discover when encouraged to question deeply, think boldly and explore their potential?

We invite your family to explore this possibility with us. Through opportunities to investigate, create, solve problems and lead, we encourage every student to discover their strengths and imagine pathways they may not yet have considered.

Across Years 7–12, our diverse learning programs support, challenge and extend every student. We focus on developing self-regulated learners who are curious and resilient. This means helping students understand how they learn, set meaningful goals, seek feedback and adapt their approach when faced with challenges. We support them to build the confidence, strategies and independence to take increasing ownership of their learning.
