What a fantastic two weeks we had in Weeks 2-3 Term 3, welcoming our international visitors for the Chungcheongbuk-do Study Tour!
This inaugural experience was a resounding success, filled with learning, cultural exchange and plenty of fun! Our visiting South Korean students embraced every opportunity to experience Australian life, while our MGHS Year 10 students enthusiastically welcomed them into classrooms, activities and the wider school community.
Throughout the program, our visitors explored some of Adelaide’s iconic locations and participated in a range of engaging school workshops. Yet, one of the greatest highlights was the genuine engagement between the two student cohorts. These connections created a real buzz around the school; one filled with laughter, curiosity and new friendships.

We were also honoured to welcome a delegation of South Korean Education Office representatives, who travelled all the way to Adelaide to see the students in action and experience the essence of MGHS firsthand. During their visit, our guests had the opportunity to observe the Study Tour in action, connect with our students and staff, and share lunch. A very special thank you to Ms Mo Ji-Young and the esteemed guests for taking the time to visit and celebrate this important international partnership.
Finally, a sincere thank you to all the staff who contributed their time, expertise and enthusiasm to the Study Tour and helped make the experience so memorable.
We absolutely love welcoming our South Korean peers to MGHS and look forward to continuing the Chungcheongbuk-do Study Tour in the years to come. Fingers crossed that, sometime soon, we might have the opportunity to send some of our own students overseas for a reciprocal visit!
