Dear Parents & Caregivers,
I am pleased to announce that last night the Governing Council voted to support the revised timetable proposal for 2023.
This is a very exciting decision for our school community, providing a timetable model that delivers stronger opportunities to pursue academic excellence as well as addressing the needs of our students. Please see an example of the structure below:
Please note in the approved timetable for next year the school day still begins at 8:45am and ends at 3:15pm (except for an early dismissal on Wednesdays at 2:15pm).
Our timetable committee will continue to look for improvements within the line structure. The committee will engage with staff, students and parents / caregivers to ensure this structure continues to meet the needs of our community and provides opportunities to achieve success.
We will now commence working on a successful transition from our current timetable to the new model. We understand that change affects everyone differently, and we are committed to supporting the members of our community to make this transition successful.
Lastly, we would like to thank our community members for actively engaging in a thorough consultation process. We received responses from over 500 community members exploring how to modify our timetable to improve student conditions for learning and their academic outcomes.
