Mitcham Girls High School

Week 2 Parent Update

07-May-21Information for parents from Week 2, Term 2.

Dear Mitcham families,

Well done to everyone for their engagement in the Learning Conversations this week. We were thrilled you could meet with our teachers to discuss your student’s progress at MGHS.

This week our teachers completed around 1600 interviews with our parent community. We believe this is the most interviews ever conducted for our school! We hope you found the conversations useful and informative. We know that if we can continue to strengthen our relationship our students will have a greater chance of flourishing at school.

If you would like to provide us with any feedback on how we can improve the process, please complete the quick survey at the following link:

Please know that you are welcome to contact our teachers at any time to discuss your students learning at Mitcham Girls High School.

Your student's uniform

I ask for your support in ensuring your student arrives at school, each day in the correct uniform. Students and families understand that enrolling at Mitcham Girls High School means a requirement to wear our school uniform correctly and proudly. Wearing our uniform plays an important role in creating a sense of belonging and helping students to connect with our community. Our uniform contains a range of options to suit all ages and styles. Student feedback and valued input from our Governing Council and community has helped shape our uniform over the years. Matters relating to uniform purchase, financial hardship, cultural or religious needs must be raised with the school leadership team.

Please familiarise yourself with our Uniform expectations by visiting the following link:

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Update to QKR

We have updated the Mitcham Girls High School QKR app to include school fees, excursions and event payments. QKR is now our preferred payment method across all finance.
