16-Jun-22News of fantastic results from the excursion at Flinders University.
On Tuesday 15 June, Mr Elliott and Lizzie took a team of Year 10 students to Flinders University to compete against other schools in the southern region in a number of engineering challenges.
The students went in with no idea of what to expect, they were nervous but excited. They were a team to be proud of and represented MGHS with so much positivity and respect.
Our bridge was outstanding, and our robot hands were able to meet every challenge that they were given, but the biggest stand outs were our towers of strength, and our turbines. We won in both of these challenges. The towers were able to hold up all of the weights that they had to test, and the turbine in the second half of the day tested better than any other that the challenge organisers had seen.
Congratulations to all of the competitors, finishing up 2nd overall was a well deserved result!
