Each year, the South Australian Science Teachers' Association (SASTA) holds a competition for students from Reception to Year 12, to develop their interest in science. The competition includes a wide range of categories and is a great way for students to expand their science skills and knowledge.

Congratulations to the 31 students who were selected to take part in the competition with a particular congratulations to the following prize winnners:

Sahithya Paramasivam: 1st place in the 11-12 Science Writing category with "How has societal demand influenced the application of induced pluripotent stem cell and CRISPR-Cas9 technology as an autologous, combined cell and gene therapeutic treatment method for sickle cell disease?"

Mili Schulkin & Phoebe Wood: 2nd place in the 7-8 Games category with "Convergent Evolution".

Sophie Lennard: 3rd place in the 7-8 Models & Inventions category with "Hand".

Alina Batool & Haniyyah Haider: Encouragement Award in the 7-8 Multimedia category with "Serendipitous Discoveries".
