Mitcham Girls High School

Week 10 Parent Update

22-Sep-21Some brief notices from Principal Linda Richardson.

Dear families

We have almost made it to the end of another term!

Please be advised that school reports will be available via Daymap from 3.15pm this Friday 24 October.

Uniforms

The holiday period provides an excellent time to review your child’s uniform. As the weather changes, please ensure that students have the correct uniform every day. Uniform Management Services are open during the holiday break. A reminder; that black shoes should meet the requirements (as per the attached picture) and boots are not part of the Mitcham Girls High School uniform.

Due to the current COVID situation, our uniform supply store is experiencing difficulty accessing fabric. Student Services will gratefully accept donations of good quality uniforms you no longer have use for, alternatively our school uniform supplier will sell them on consignment providing you a 60% return on sale prices. Please consider donating or selling your second-hand uniforms to assist other families, particularly our new Year 7 and 8’s.

Internet Usage

Mitcham Girls HS has recently changed the way it provides safe internet to our school. As part of these changes students will need to install a special certificate on laptops or devices to access the internet.

Instructions on how to do this is available via

http://certs.swift.sa.edu.au/

You can download and install the certificate for your type of device.

Note:  Access to this website (http://certs.swift.sa.edu.au/)  is only available via your existing WiFi connection at the school. You cannot perform this installation at home. All laptops and devices will need to have this certificate installed from this Thursday the 23rd of September 2021, in order to access the internet.

If you require assistance with this, students may ask their teachers or attend the MGHS IT Helpdesk.

I wish you and your families an enjoyable and safe holiday break and we look forward to welcoming you all back for Term 4 on Monday 11 October.

Kind regards

Linda Richardson
Principal
