09-Sep-21Photos and a summary of our R U OK? Day activities.
R U OK? inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling with life.
You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener.
Use these four steps and have a conversation that could change a life:
1. Ask R U OK?
3. Encourage action
4. Check in
The MGHS Wellbeing team went above and beyond in commemorating R U OK? Day this year.
Students participated in the making of Nature Mandalas, using dried nuts and seeds, flower, fruits, vegetables and stones to create the circular pattern. In the shade, students spent time decorating biscuits with coloured icing and sprinkles, writing messages of support for each other. By the end of lunchtime, the tennis court was covered in chalk drawings and messages asking 'R U OK?'.
Many thanks go out to the Wellbeing Leaders who facilitated the activities and support students in their Wellbeing every day.
