Mitcham Girls High School is one of only two public girls' schools in South Australia, and girls can apply to attend regardless of where they live. It is situated only 6 kilometres from the heart of the city and is easily accessible by public transport.
Applications for Year 7 in 2022 are closed.
Families will apply for Year 7 entry in 2023 through the Department’s state-wide registration of interest process for students to go to public secondary schools. This registration process for families will generally start in Term 2, 2022.

Families not offered enrolment, or late applications after the close of the state-wide registration of interest process (end of Term 2) will be placed on a ranked waiting list and contacted by the school if a place becomes available in Term 4.
Applications will be considered if or when places exist. In these cases, applications will be considered based on siblings at the school, the distance of the child’s residence from the school and any other personal needs, such as curriculum (excluding special interest programs), transportation/location convenience, and social/family links to the school.

Year 7 to High School Pilot Program Week 5 Parent Update
Applications for enrolment from parents of prospective students for Year 8 to Year 12 will be considered if or when places are available.
In these cases, applications will be considered based on siblings at the school, the distance of the child’s residence from the school and any other personal needs, such as curriculum, transportation/location convenience, and social/family links.
Families should complete the Registration of Interest to Enrol and email to dl.0903.info@schools.sa.edu.au. If a place is available you will be contacted by a Student Wellbeing Leader to attend an interview at the school.
