English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Year 7 | Year 8 | Year 9 | Year 10

In order to study EAL, English must be an additional language or dialect for the student. Students in EAL study both fiction and non-fiction texts, acquiring skills in listening, reading, analysis and communication. They participate in structured activities, learning how to interact, create and write more effectively. They develop an understanding of individual text types and learn to use language to communicate in a variety of unfamiliar contexts.
