Mitcham Girls High School

Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Mitcham Girls High School.

Dear Parents,

Mitcham is the only public girls' school in South Australia.  It is unzoned, enabling students to enrol regardless of where they live.  It is situated only 6 kilometres from the heart of the city and is easily accessible by public transport.

At Mitcham we encourage and support girls to be the best they can be.  Our curriculum, leadership and co-curricular programs aim to support your daughter to develop into a confident, articulate, responsible, educated and compassionate young woman.

Mitcham Girls High School is a caring and safe community - just the right size for staff, students and families to get to know each other well.

Host a Study Tour Student

Early in Term 3 we will be hosting 15 students from Kyoto, Japan, and we are seeking families to host a student.  Hosting an international student is a wonderful way of getting to know, understand and appreciate each other’s cultures, customs and traditions and forging lifelong friendships with your student and her family.  If you would like to engage in this experience please contact the school on 8272 8233 to register your interest by Friday 31 May.
